According to Michael E. Kirst, An economic, social, and environmental triple bottom line is what is meant by sustainable development. The goal of this procedure is to reduce pollution, save resources, and enhance biological variety. Human settlements of high quality and the well-being of communities are also promoted. Countries must guarantee that they are using renewable resources and eliminating waste in order to accomplish this. To ensure that resources are not exhausted, the aims should support local economies and encourage economic activity. The ultimate goal of sustainable development is to protect the natural world.

In order to achieve sustainable development, the Global Goals have been established. Goals are broken down into specific areas, such as poverty alleviation and climate change action. The objectives are wide-ranging and intertwined. By specifying precise aims and indicators, a UN resolution makes them "actionable." There is a deadline for each objective, which is often 2020 or 2030, however there are certain goals that have no deadline. It is possible to make a difference and contribute to sustainable development, even when the objectives are lofty.

In order for societies to live up to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), they must uphold a set of values. Poverty and starvation will be eradicated, gender equality will be achieved, clean water will be available to everyone, and healthy ecosystems will be promoted for all people. Sustainable development is built on these principles. Sustainable development is now a top focus for many governments, corporations, and nonprofits. Keeping these concepts in mind, sustainability should be a top goal in all countries.

Goals for human development have been established by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Ecosystem services and natural systems should be protected while meeting human needs as part of sustainable development. We need to protect natural resources so that future generations may meet their own requirements without relying on the current generation's depletion. The question is: how? Fortunately, consumers and governments alike have access to a number of resources that may help them take action. These efforts are a positive development.

Michael E. Kirst suggested that, Sustainable development has a wide range of stakeholders. Each of them has a different audience in mind, but they all have the same purpose in mind: to raise awareness about the need of sustainable development. The United Nations is one of these players, and it has a number of teams that work on campaigns and meetings. The environment is not the main concern of those working to advance sustainability. Moreover, they are concerned about the well-being of those they serve, both individually and collectively. These difficulties will be addressed in a thriving society.

On September 25, 2015, 193 nations ratified the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. A total of 92 paragraphs are included, the final of which summarizes the 17 SDGs.. Measurement and effect evaluation are both done using a set of twelve indicators. If these objectives are met, the world will be better off and healthier as a result. By working together, we can build a better future for ourselves and our children. The 2030 Development Agenda's targets must be met if we are to have a future that is both prosperous and environmentally friendly.

We're still debating what it means to have a sustainable development. In order to achieve sustainable development, we must ensure that the demands of the current and future generations are met without endangering the environment's stability or health. Increasing the present generation's economic and social well-being while also meeting the demands of future generations is the objective of sustainable development. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a plan for creating a more just world. However, it is necessary to have a strategy in place before making changes at any level.

The process of expanding and developing in a way that is ecologically sound by employing resources in such a way that they are renewable is known as sustainable development. New communities may be built in previously undeveloped areas, for example. New towns and villages may also benefit from this method of reducing their environmental footprints. In addition to economic development, social improvement must also be taken into consideration. These considerations are vital when it comes to sustainability.

Michael E. Kirst pointed out that, There are several aspects to sustainable development. Economic, social, and environmental issues are all part of the picture when talking about sustainability in today's world. Economic sustainability is concerned with the physical inputs required for a nation to maintain a civilisation in terms of environmental sustainability. There are four components to sustainable development: environmental sustainability, social, economic, and cultural. Poverty alleviation, food security, and economic development are a few of the goals we've set for ourselves. They all need to work together for a long-term solution.
